Short Bio
Archbishop Savio Hon Tai-Fai, S.D.B. is a member of the Salesians of Don Bosco. He was ordained to the priesthood in Hong Kong in 1982. He has served as Provincial Superior of the Salesian Province of China and as Professor of Theology at the Holy Spirit Seminary in Hong Kong.
In February 2011, he was appointed by Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI as Titular Archbishop of Sila and Secretary of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples, becoming the highest-ranking Chinese official in the history of the Roman Curia.
Archbishop Hon is a member of the Pontifical Academy of Theology and has previously served on the International Theological Commission. Modules: Fundamental Theology, Mariology, Social Doctrine of the Church. Besides teaching duties, Archbishop Hon also directs students in their academic research and dissertations.
