Prospective Undergraduate Students

USJ Direct Admissions Scholarships

In academic year 2020/2021, USJ offers 5 full scholarships to Direct Admission students with good academic record, strong learning motivation or outstanding performance in other areas. 

The recipients will be granted with full tuition fee waiver for 4 years from academic year 2020/2021 on. The scholarship will be granted on a yearly basis. After the first year, recipients are required to have yearly accumulated GPA at 15 or above (out of full mark 20) in order to maintain the scholarship.

USJ Full Scholarship is available for students who are interested in applying programmes below:

Business administration, Communication & Media, Architectural Studies, Design, Social Work, Psychology, Education and Portuguese-Chinese Translation.

The USJ Community Scholarship and Fellowship Programme seeks to support the financial needs of promising students in pursuing their studies in our university. The Scholarships and fellowships are donated by various and prominent local institutions and individuals to students with outstanding academic performance.

USJ Community Scholarships

All USJ Community Scholarships result will be announced through USJ media by the Office for Student and Alumni Affairs in the first semester. It is not necessary for students to apply for USJ Community scholarships and the University of Saint Joseph Scholarship and Fellowship Committee selects the recipients according to the values and purposes defined by the donors with the confirmation of the programme coordinators.

CPTTM Fashion and Creative Education Scholarship [Submission for 2020/2021 closed]

CPTTM is offering a CPTTM Fashion and Creative Education Scholarship to a student who is Macau resident, graduated from a local secondary school in 2019-2020 and has enrolled to our first year Bachelor of Fashion Design at USJ. The successful applicant will receive MOP 24,500 each year for four years.

Lucas Lo Scholarships for University of Saint Joseph (聖若瑟大學羅掌權獎學金)

In order to cultivate talents in Macao, Mr. Lucas Lo established six full scholarships and six half scholarships for the best candidates from the three Diocesan secondary schools (CDSJ-6, CDSJ-5 and Escola Sao Paulo) in the Academic year 2021/2022, amounting to Mop 1,548,000 (Mop 172,000 per student for full scholarship and Mop 86,000 per student for half scholarship) in total over four years of the students’ studies, for students who choose to complete the Bachelor degrees at the University of Saint Joseph.

The Lucas Lo Scholarships for University of Saint Joseph aim to support high calibre students to study in the University of Saint Joseph which will offer them a rich international experience. Mr. Lucas Lo hopes that these scholarship recipients will contribute to the Catholic Church and the development of Macao in the future.

Scholarship for Outstanding Students (Portuguese-speaking and ASEAN countries) Studying in Macao[CLOSED](Partnership with DSES)

The Scholarship for Outstanding Students (Portuguese-speaking and ASEAN countries) Studying in Macao is established by the Macao SAR government and administered by the Higher Education Bureau. The scholarship serves the dual purposes of strengthening exchange between local higher education institutions and their counterparts in Portuguese-speaking countries and in the countries in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), and attracting outstanding students from these countries to study in Macao. USJ may recommend students admitted to a bachelor’s degree programme of the same year, which is equivalent to the first year of a full-time programme of China. The scholarship is to be disbursed from the Higher Education Fund.

Qualifying for financial aid depends on a number of factors: your family’s financial need, your academic profile, and the availability of university funds.

In the 2018/2019 academic year, 94 students were supported under this scheme with a total amount of Mop 3,472,200.

Once a student has been accepted to USJ, students are eligible to receive many supports throughout their time in University until graduation. Support and guidance are given across all pillars of student life included but not limited to:
