Short Bio
A registered social worker in Macau, she
graduated from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University with a Master of Arts
degree in Social Work, specializing in Family-Based Practice and Family
Therapy. She has twenty years of experience in rehabilitation services, serving
individuals including intellectually disabled children, adults, and their
families. Since 2010, she has served as a part-time internship supervisor for
university social work courses, and in 2016, she began working in social work
education at the university level.
She has played an active role in the
professional advancement of social work within Macao. Serving as a board member
of the Macau Association of Social Workers, her most significant achievement
was driving the implementation of the social worker registration system,
thereby ensuring the effective regulation and continued professional
development of practitioners in the territory

Modules
Year 1 Bachelor
本課程協助學生熟習輔導原理原則,增進輔導知識,瞭解常見的行為問題與輔導技巧,更深入瞭解輔導的重要性與內涵,熟練輔導相關工作的基本原理、內容與實施方式,建立從事「輔導」工作的正確觀念與能力。本課程目的使學生熟練輔導的技巧,其中包括基本之輔導態度的應用,輔導技巧的進步演練,以及輔導案例分析。
本課程教學目的,在於協助學生瞭解:1.人類個體行為的成長與發展的過程。2.社會文化、家庭心理動力、與個人心理能量等三大因素如何影響人類個體行為,以及此三大因素的交互作用。3.個人如何適應其成長過程中的需求,以及變遷中的社會情況或社會壓力等。
Year 2 Bachelor
本課程主要目的是使學生瞭解社會個案工作方法,並且培養其進行社會個案工作之能力。社會個案工作是社會工作方法之一,引發個人潛能,應用社會資源,以改善個人與其部分或整個環境的關係。課程涵蓋五大層面:個案工作之基礎(基本價值、專業關係)、技術(會談、資源運用)及倫理(兩難、抉擇等)。
Year 3 Bachelor
This module will provide a fundamental understanding of the purpose, design, and implementation of programmes or projects in social service settings. Proficient knowledge of the concepts, skills and steps to plan, implement and evaluate a programme will enable students to acquire skills in organizing programmes, and to assess and conduct programme evaluation.
Year 4 Bachelor
Field practice provides students with the opportunity to integrate classroom knowledge to practice skills. Students are placed in a social service agency, government or non-government, under the individual supervision of a fieldwork supervisor. During this period, students have the opportunities to familiarize themselves with the functions of the service delivery system and begin to develop skills of social work practice and to test their ability to relate meaningfully to people in a helping situation.
This second field placement helps students achieve grater competence and independency in service delivery upon graduation. Every effort is made to expose student to a variety of settings and methods of social work practice according to his/her learning needs and areas of interest.
In this course module, the students will be matched and assigned to another and different social service organizations from their previous field work placement in the first semester.
This course module aims the following objectives: (1) to provide students with an opportunity to apply theoretical framework of social work practice; (2) to enhance their social work knowledge, skills and competence in working with individuals, groups, families, organizations and communities; (3) to understand and appreciate the existing social policies, programs, services and working patterns of service organizations in Macau. "
Year 1 Master
This course provides students with an understanding of the etiology, types and the demography of persons with disabilities in Macau. It seeks to familiarize students with policies and social services, particularly community-based services, provided to strengthen and support persons with disabilities. It also enables students to understand the needs, problems and adjustment of people with disabilities; and to familiarize students with the methods of assessment, intervention and prevention of disabilities. Approaches in working with both persons with disabilities and their families/carers will be studied.
The roles of social workers in a multi-disciplinary team and rehabilitation services will be examined. At the policy level, social workers as advocates will be studied. "
