It was another busy but meaningful weekend dedicated to protecting our oceans!
Prof. Helen Liu, Programme leader of the USJ Prison Outreach Programme, attended the “Sixty-eighth session of the Commission on Narcotic Drugs” and participated in the “Families As Active Actors in Drug-Related Issues: Transforming Support and Advocacy” side Meeting, in Vienna.
The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) organised its USJ Career Fair 2025 on the 20th of March. The USJ Career Fair has been serving as a platform for all USJ students and alumni to seek job opportunities and explore their career paths.

USJ Students and Staff participated in the USJ Blood Drive held in Ilha Verde Campus.
A MoU for strategic cooperation was signed between Tianheyuan Biotechnology Group and the University of Saint Joseph during the “World Digital Economy Organisation Forum: Inheriting Eastern Civilisation and Setting Sail for the Digital Economy”.
The partnership aims to create opportunities for students to gain hands-on experience in social entrepreneurship and sustainable development while addressing pressing community needs through joint initiatives.
The visit, part of the module LPY421 – Assessment of Special Educational Needs, was guided by Prof. Vitor Teixeira and provided a unique blend of learning, collaboration, and cultural exchange.
USJ’s Department of Social Work actively participated in the 55th Caritas Macau Charity Bazaar raising a total of MOP 32,860 for community welfare and social support.

‘Drop by Drop’ project initiative highlights Macao’s rich variety of wetland life.
This excursion offered students a unique opportunity to explore one of the region’s most ecologically significant wetlands, renowned as a Wetland of International Importance under the Ramsar Convention.
This event allowed USJ staff and students to deepen their understanding of global wellness trends while reinforcing their commitment to promoting environmental and social responsibility, encouraging students to engage in meaningful discussions and activities that promote a balanced and sustainable lifestyle.

The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) recently concluded its three-day SDG Week from November 13 to 15, celebrating its commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This year, more than one hundred students were recognized for their exceptional academic achievements. The scholarships were generously donated by 19 local institutions and individual donors, with a total of 175 awards this year, amounting to over MOP 9.3 million.
USJ’s Domingos Lam Centre for Research in Education (DLCRE) organizes a public lecture titled “ELF and Global Englishes: Implications for Educators”.
