USJ’s Architecture Graduation Projects 2023, developed under the Post-Industry theme where students explored concepts for the Macao Masterplan – UOPG Pac On Area, were featured in the latest issue of Architecture Macau (AM) Magazine.
USJ students and staff members joined the “70th Macau Grand Prix Celebration – Guia Circuit Fun Run” on 5 November 2023.
Hon Kit I, a finalist student of the Bachelor of Architectural Studies, and Lin Zhihang, an architecture graduate, received Honorable Mention in “Lai Chi Vu Shipyards – Plots X11 to X15” Design Competition organised by the Macao Cultural Affairs Bureau.

USJ is committed to enhancing the opportunities for exchanges between its students and other students from Mainland China.
USJ donated MOP 10,000 to the Macau Special Olympics (MSO) to support the event and encourage MSO’s athletes development.
USJ and ARTM have deepened their collaboration to contribute to the social development of Macao through supervised internships, talks, and joint research projects. Recently, they co-organised an international seminar on drug and alcohol prevention and signed a MOU, solidifying their long-term partnership in the fields of Social Work and Psychology.

Rossetti Ung won the Bronze Award for her “Urban Farming” Project at the ARCASIA Student Design Competition 2023.
Co-organised by the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) and the Macao Institute of Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Relics, the exhibition “Treasure of Ancient Books – Exhibition of Chen Zibao and Macau Civilian Education” was officially opened on 21 October 2023, at the Kent Wong Exhibition Gallery of USJ’s Ilha Verde Campus.
Macao’s first “Symposium on Environmental Science and Sustainable Technology – ESST2023” was successfully held from 26 – 27 of October, 2023, at the University of Saint Joseph.
The core objective of this partnership is to reinforce Portuguese teaching at USJ and to enable all its undergraduate students to proficiently use the language upon graduating.
USJ’s Department of Architecture and Design joins an international architectural applied research project, the “INFOLAB”, in Boracay, Philippines, together with the Chinese University of Hong Kong and Politecnico di Milano.
