The University of Saint Joseph’s Institute of Science and Environment (USJ/ISE) provided materials for the exhibition that showcases the region’s rich maritime ecology, including mangroves and intertidal ecosystems, as well as the history and cultural significance of oysters in Macao.

During this year’s Green Week, 900 mangrove saplings were planted along the Taipa coastline through the organization of the Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) and participation of the University of Saint Joseph.

The 43rd Macau Green Week Carnival, held on 16-17 March 2024, received strong support from the community, showcasing the growing interest in environmental initiatives. Organised by ISE-USJ the event featured an ISE booth that highlighted wetlands, responsible water management, sustainable fisheries, and the importance of mangroves in coastal protection.
