USJ Macao and UCASAL Signed a Memorandum of Understanding to Foster Student and Faculty Exchange

The University of Saint Joseph (USJ Macao) and the Universidad Católica de Salta (UCASAL) in Argentina have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to authenticate the collaborative partnership.
The “Macao – Hengqin Industry – Academia – Research Networking in Tech Innovation and Signing Ceremony” was held on 19 July 2024 in the Hengqin Guangdong – Macao In Depth Cooperation Zone. At the event, the government witnessed the announcement of three new research institutes in Hengqin namely “USJ (Hengqin) Advanced Technology Research Institute”, “University of Saint Joseph Research Centre of Applied Neurosciences in Hengqin”, and “USJ Sino-Lusophone Business Development and Incubation Centre in Hengqin”.
The Award Ceremony and Exhibition Opening of this year’s Macau Architectural Photography Competition took place at Ponte 9 – Creative Platform, on the afternoon of July 13th, 2024.

The Study Tour Programme for Visiting Medical Students from Shaoxing University Opening Ceremony was held at University of Saint Joseph (USJ) on 15 July, 2024.
On July 5, 2024, the ” Inmates and Juvenile Delinquents’ Handicraft Exhibition 2024″ was held at the Macao Science Center’s Convention Hall, jointly organized by the Correctional Services Bureau and the Macao Science Center, the Municipal Affairs Bureau, the Social Welfare Bureau, and the Education and Youth Development Bureau.
Professor Álvaro Barbosa, Vice-Rector for Internationalisation and Academic Affairs of the University of Saint Joseph (USJ Macao), recently participated in the 3rd RNEC Congress – National Network for Cultural Studies. The event, organised by ISCAP – Instituto Superior de Contabilidade e Administração do Porto, took place on July 11th and 12th, 2024.

Fr. Daniel António de Carvalho Ribeiro has successfully defended his doctoral thesis in Religious Studies titled: “The Theology of the Eucharist in the Writings of Pope Benedict XVI and its Implications for the Religious Formation of Adolescents in Macao Catholic Secondary Schools”.
Head of the Department of Architecture and Design, Prof. Nuno Soares, has received a Pionner Award for Green Architecture at the 6th Japan International Pioneer Design Award for the Toi San Public Toilet project, commissioned by the Macau Municipal Affairs Bureau.
The 2024 USJ Graduation Dinner organized by the Graduation Committee took place on 6th July.
