USJ-SED Delegation Explores AI Education in Guangzhou, China

The AI education exchange programme in Guangzhou was organised by the Catholic Diocesan Education Committee, co-organised by Guangzhou Cloudbutterfly Technology, and supported by the Macao Intelligent Education Association.
On the 27th March, a delegation from the University of Saint Joseph’s (USJ) School of Education (SED) participated in an AI education exchange programme in Guangzhou organised by the Catholic Diocesan Education Committee (CDEC), co-organised by Guangzhou Cloudbutterfly Technology, and supported by the Macao Intelligent Education Association.
The delegation, led by Prof. Isabel Tchiang, Acting Dean of the School of Education, with Prof. Iris Mak, Postgraduate Diploma in Education Program Coordinator, and Ms. Tammy Chu, attended a lecture by Prof. Kuang Shanyun from South China Normal University and visited Cloudbutterfly’s exhibition hall.
Subsequently, the delegation observed demonstration classes at Changgang Middle Road Primary School, witnessing the application of smart whiteboards and smart paper-pen classroom technologies in real-world teaching scenarios. They also explored VR/AR educational innovations at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou)’s Metaverse Lab.
