The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) is a leader in research and policy development in the area of inclusive education in Macao. In addition to the newly inaugurated Domingos Lam research center in education, the participation in conferences at the regional and international levels, and awareness and fundraising events, we have also been providing public lectures open to the general public, where the community can learn more about evidenced-based best practices in inclusive education.

Recent public lectures include topics like, the application of assistive technology to support learning differences in the classroom, the roles of parents and teachers in talent development of high ability students, or practical strategies for inclusive education

This series of public lectures, follows the public lectures conducted in previous years, with topics such as inclusive education in Portugal in 2018; sign bilingualism and co-enrolment in inclusive education for the deaf, understanding the gifted ones and inclusive discipline strategies in 2017; and well as, teaching and supporting students with down syndrome in 2016.

USJ aims to continue to promote these activities in the future in order to contribute to a more inclusive and equal society. Kindly check out our past and upcoming event in this and other areas in our events page.
