Prof. Gerald Estadieu Presents Immersive Soundscapes at City University of Hong Kong’s SoundLab

Prof. Estadieu presented a live demonstration using the SoundLab hemispheric rig, inviting participants to experience the dynamic possibilities of Ambisonics and to learn how sound can transform any venue into a living, story-driven environment.
The “China-Portuguese-speaking Countries Digital Economy Seminar,” organized by the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao) and hosted by the University of Saint Joseph (USJ), was officially launched on October 13, 2025.
In full support of the 15th National Games of the People’s Republic of China, the 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities and the 9th National Special Olympic Games, USJ held a National Games Volunteer Cheering Session aimed at boosting volunteer morale and promoting the spirit of dedication.
The 2025/2026 USJ Community Scholarships and Fellowships Award Ceremony was held on 24 October at the Auditório Centenário de Fátima in Ilha Verde Campus. Over 100 USJ students received awards in recognition of their exceptional academic achievements. The scholarships and fellowships were donated by 19 organizations and individual donors, with a total of 181 awards granted this year, amounting to over 11.6 million Macau Patacas in funding.
To motivate students to prepare actively for exams and alleviate their academic stress, USJ held the Support Station on 21 October, fostering a positive campus learning atmosphere.
The visit aimed to study a practical business model that integrates product sourcing, cultural adaptation, and hospitality management.
