The “Research in Psychology Seminar”, an initiative held on Earth Day and associated with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3 “Promoting Health and Well-being”, was held on April 22, 2022, with the participation of Bachelor and Master students of the Department of Psychology of the University’s Faculty of Social Sciences and Education.

With the main aim of showcasing the research being conducted by the students, the Final Projects of the Year 4 students of the Bachelor of Psychology (BPY) were presented, with topics varying from the relationship between physical exercise, music listening and mental health to job satisfaction. A networking opportunity was also facilitated at the end, where participants were invited to learn more about the research projects of the year 2 students (Spring Semester intake) of the Master of Organisational Psychology (MOP).

In addition, a special session on the SDGs and sustainability activities taking place in the University was held in observance of Earth Day by Prof. Maria Rita Silva, Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology and member of the USJ Green Committee, relating to the upcoming sustainability workshops.

The Department of Psychology looks forward to continuing to promote both the research being conducted by our students as well as activities highlighting the importance of SDG 3.
