To enhance students’ awareness of fraud prevention, the Judiciary Police held the Anti-Fraud Vehicle Promotion Campaign at the Ilha Verde Campus on 14 March.

The Judiciary Police organised the Anti-Fraud Promotion Vehicle Campus event at the University of Saint Joseph (USJ)’s Ilha Verde Campus on 14 March. The event aimed to raise students’ awareness of fraud prevention and featured an anti-fraud promotion vehicle and four themed booths: Smart Anti-Fraud Station, Get to know Anti-Fraud Mini Programme, National Fraud Prevention Campaign, and Anti-Fraud Elite Photo Booth. Through interactive and engaging activities, the participants learned about common telecommunications and online fraud tactics, response strategies, and the use of anti-fraud applications in a relaxed atmosphere. This initiative further strengthened USJ students’ vigilance against fraud, equipping them with the knowledge to better identify and respond to fraudulent activities.

Keven Sun, a third-year bachelor’s student in Communication and Media who participated in the event, shared that the activity effectively disseminated anti-fraud information across the campus, enhancing everyone’s awareness of telecommunications and online fraud and helping them avoid falling into online traps. The Office for Student and Alumni Affairs (OSAA) will continue to promote awareness of fraud prevention among students, with a focus on spreading anti-fraud information. We extend our sincere gratitude to the Judiciary Police for their innovative approach to enhancing students’ anti-fraud capabilities.

A first-year master student majoring in Education shared that the Anti-Fraud Promotion Vehicle on Campus event was meaningful, particularly because it delivered anti-fraud knowledge through interactive experiences, allowing participants to gain a more vivid understanding. She emphasized that, as a future professional in the field of education, mastering anti-fraud knowledge is not only crucial for herself but also enables her to share what she has learned with more students and parents, making the experience highly beneficial.
