Prof. Paulo Teles of UNICAMP Brazil is completing a post-doctorate in Global Studies at USJ Macao

“This post-doctoral programme is a unique opportunity to strengthen cooperation ties between the two universities’ and ‘pave the way for more Brazilian professors and researchers from the Portuguese-speaking world to choose USJ Macao as their post-doctoral destination”.
Cao Wei has successfully defended his doctoral thesis in Business Administration titled: “ADOPTION OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE TO SUPPORT AND IMPROVE PROJECT MANAGEMENT AREA – RESEARCH LANDSCAPE, STAKEHOLDERS PERCEPTION ANALYSIS AND FRAMEWORK PROPOSITION”.
The Honoris Causa Degrees will be conferred to His Eminence Cardinal John Tong Hon, bishop emeritus of Hong Kong, and Mr. Anthony Kwok-Ki Yeung, JP.
The visit provided an opportunity to discuss collaborative research in early childhood literacy acquisition and to explore potential partnerships in the Greater Bay Area.

The visit culminated with the signing ceremony of the five-year Cooperation Protocol, which provided new areas of collaboration, namely with USJ Doctoral School, joint degrees, joint research projects, and specific academic partnerships for faculty and staff members.
In a constructive meeting, both parties entered discussions on extensive areas of collaboration, including faculty and student exchange, formation of joint-degree programmes, short-term specialised training and academic events.

The Vice-President of FORGES visits USJ Macao to deliberate on sustainable strategies and practices in the higher education landscape.
Lin Chin Yang has successfully defended his doctoral thesis in Business Administration titled: “Stock Investment Strategy Prediction Using Machine Learning Models and Sentiment Analysis: A Hybrid Approach”.
The University of Saint Joseph was invited to attend the “1st China-Timor-Leste Cooperation and Development International Seminar and the Forum on the Development of Timor-Leste and Its Relations with Major Powers”.
In his keynote presentation titled “Classification of MCI Based on Multi-Modal Imaging Data Using Artificial Intelligence”, Prof. Du introduced a spectral convolved method for classifying mild cognitive impairment.
On 2 December 2024, a delegation from the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) led by the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities (FAH), Prof. Carlos Sena Caires, visited the Guangdong University of Technology (GDUT) and South China University of Technology (SCUT) in Guangzhou.
