A group of bachelor of social work students attended a workshop on children with special educational needs (SEN) at Sheng Kung Hui’s “Youth and Family Integrated Service Centre” on the April 26.
Dr. Alessandro Lampo, Assistant Professor at the USJ Faculty of Business and Law received the “Best Oral Presentation Award” for his latest paper titled “Examining How ‘Technology Show-off’ Affects the Acceptance of Innovations in the Battery Electric Vehicle Sector”.
The meeting was hosted by Mr Poon Chi-ming, Executive Director of Caritas and Chairman of the Social Workers Professional Committee, who encouraged the social workers to strive for self-improvement, not forgetting the original intention of being a social worker, and to create vitality together with the service users in the changing social service environment.
During the 3rd AUAP Faculty Development Programme Macao, Vice-rector Prof. Álvaro Barbosa delivered a keynote speech highlighting USJ’s efforts in international student recruitment, joint degree programs, and the establishment of partnerships.
Over 40 staff and students from USJ visited the National Security Education Exhibition on the 26th April, 2024. The exhibition, titled “The 10th Anniversary Of A Holistic Approach to National Security: Guiding The Way With Innovative Thinking,” was composed of five thematic sections.
The visit aimed to explore the possibility of partnership of both institutions for the development of the Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macao Greater Bay Area market.

USJ recently organised a group of students to visit the “MV Xue Long 2” in Hong Kong as part of an initiative to broaden their knowledge of polar ecology and environmental conservation.
Assistant Professor Jayson Lou, Coordinator for the Master of Social Work at USJ, shared his insights on the challenges of an ageing society with young participants at the “Caring for Youth” competition, emphasizing the importance of creating age-friendly communities and ensuring a high quality of life for the elderly.
