Celebrating Mid-Autumn Festival at USJ: Embracing Tradition and Fostering Intercultural Exchange

USJ hosted a Mid-Autumn Celebration Event on the 13th of September, aiming to enhance students’ understanding of Chinese traditional festivals, promote cross-cultural exchange, and enrich students’ appreciation of Chinese traditional culture through various activities.
Prof. José Manuel Simões, Programme Coordinator for the Master of Communication and Media at USJ, participated in the 2024 “Training Seminar on the National Conditions of AIPIM (Macau Portuguese and English Media Association)” in Fudan University, Shanghai.
Prof. Jaroslaw Duraj of the the Faculty of Religious Studies and Philosophy, along with students of Bachelor of Christian Studies, participated in a trip to Xi’an, China, that was organised to inspire the participants to reflect on the adaption of world religions to Chinese culture in Chinese history.
To assist new students in integrating into campus life, the Office for Student and Alumni Affairs of USS organised fourteen welcoming activities at the beginning of the academic year 2024/2025 aimed to promote student interaction, foster friendships, and provide necessary information and support.
