Dean of IDEAS Professor Du Wencai to lead eight international academic conferences in 2026

Professor Du Wencai from the Institute of Data Engineering and Science (IDEAS) has been invited by eight international academic conferences to serve as the chairperson of the program committee.



Professor Du Wencai, Dean of the Institute of Data Engineering and Science (IDEAS) at the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) was invited to serve as the Chair of the Programme Committee for eight international academic conferences in 2026. The conferences will be held in multiple locations across Europe and Asia and will focus on cutting-edge fields such as signal processing and artificial intelligence. This appointment recognises Professor Du’s international academic influence and the university’s global research competitiveness.

Chairing the Programme Committee is a key role at international academic conferences, awarded only to leading scholars with significant achievements and high recognition in their field. The chairperson is responsible for coordinating the agenda and ensuring the quality of the review process. Several major international academic centres in Europe and Asia simultaneously extended invitations to the same scholar to chair the programme committee. This is a unique occurrence in the international academic community, which demonstrates Professor Du’s global academic appeal. Eight conferences will be held in a hybrid online and offline format, in locations including: Copenhagen, Denmark, Singapore, and cities such as Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Hangzhou in China. Specifically: SP 2026, Asia EISC 2026, CVAA 2026, DBML 2026, ICAISD 2026, DSIS 2026, IPPRCV 2026, IMIC 2026.
