USJ's Boundless Bamboo Pavilion Featured in the Latest Issue of Architecture Macau Magazine

The USJ’s BOUNDLESS Bamboo Pavilion, by the Department of Architecture and Design, was featured in the October 2023 Edition of Architecture Macau Magazine.
The BOUNDLESS Bamboo Pavilion, designed by the 2022/2023 third-year students of the Bachelor of Architectural Studies of the University of Saint Joseph (USJ), was featured in the October 2023 Edition of Architecture Macau Magazine.
This architectural structure was built on the long tradition of USJ bamboo pavilions, combining the vernacular bamboo techniques and local craftsmanship.
The students developed a thorough design process, from concept to design, construction and dissemination, under the framework of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), creating a spatial opportunity for positive impact with close-to-zero waste and overall positive carbon footprint.
The Pavilion was officially opened in December 2022, at the Ilha Verde Campus Courtyard, and stood as an invitation for cross-disciplinary collaboration, hosting exhibitions, lectures, workshops and other events.

Architecture Macau (AM) is the publication of AAM, Architects Association of Macau. First published in the mid-90s, it is currently the only editorial project in Macau fully dedicated to architecture, interior design and urban planning.
