The School of Education at the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) welcomed Dr. Yong Liu, adjunct assistant professor and a distinguished scholar from Chongqing Technology and Business University, for an insightful online session titled “Strategies for International Journal Publication and Peer Review” at the USJ Doctoral Forum in Education held on 8 May.

Addressing our community of doctoral students and young researchers, Dr. Liu shared essential strategies for international publication. He specifically emphasised the importance of framing local data to answer global research questions and introduced a mind-map to help authors survive the initial editorial triage phase. Furthermore, he provided practical guidance on how to anticipate critiques, interpret editorial feedback, and craft persuasive rebuttal letters.

Dr. Liu’s presence provided our students with a rare insider’s perspective, and the School of Education is grateful for his role in empowering emerging scholars within the USJ community.
