Since 2022, USJ has been hosting delegates from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) and the Monetary Authority of Macao (AMCM) to deliver seminars, masters’ talks, and workshops to the students of the Faculty of Business and Law (FBL).

Since 2022, the University of Saint Joseph has been hosting delegates from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) and the Monetary Authority of Macao (AMCM) on five occasions to the Ilha Verde Campus to deliver seminars, masters’ talks, and workshops to the students of the Faculty of Business and Law (FBL).

During their latest visit on the 26th February this year, representatives from the DSEC and the AMCM were invited to the classroom to interact with students of the Master of Business Administration (MBA) module “Economics & Complexity in Organizations“, taught by Prof. Florence Lei.

Speakers from the DSEC reviewed the concept of gross domestic product (GDP). Focusing on the expenditure approach, the speakers gave students an overview of the current driving forces of Macao’s economy. Speaker representing the AMCM, on the other hand, discussed the compilation method of the financial soundness indicator, emphasising its enhancements due to the 2019 update.
