Consul-General of Angola in Macao visits USJ to further promote exchange opportunities

A delegation of the Consulate General of Angola in Macao paid a courtesy visit to the University of Saint Joseph on the 28th of January 2021.



On the morning of January 28th 2021, a delegation of the Consulate General of Angola in Macao, led by the Consul-General, Dr. Eduardo Galiano, paid a courtesy visit to the University of Saint Joseph (USJ).

The delegation was received by Vice-Rector for Internationalisation and Strategic Development, Prof. Álvaro Barbosa, and the Director of Public and International Relations Office, Mrs. Paula Mota.

During the meeting, Vice-Rector and the Consul-General discussed opportunities to strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation between the USJ and the Consulate General of Angola in Macao, and hope to further promote exchange opportunities.

On the campus tour, the delegation visited the Department of Creative Industries, where Programme Coordinator for the Master in Design, Prof. Filipa Martins, introduced the latest equipment and technologies used in the Digital Fabrication Lab; and had the opportunity to talk with the students from Angola at the Residential Hall. The delegation was highly impressed with the overall facilities and environment of the USJ Ilha Verde Campus.

Among the delegation were Vice-Consul for Migration and Notary Affairs, Dr. Estanislau dos Santos; Vice-Consul for Juridical and Political Affairs, Dr. Alidoro Chenda; Consular Assistant, Mrs. Djamila Xavier; and Consular Assistant, Mr. Paulo da Silva.
