Third-year Bachelor of Education students visited Escola Concordia para Ensino Especial (Concordia School for Special Education) as one of the outreach learning activities of Modules “Chi-Language and Communication in Infant Education” and “Chi-Didactics of Language in Primary Education”.
On 9 May, Assistant Professors Susannah Chunrong Sun and Mo Chen from the School of Education (SED) of USJ led a group of third-year Bachelor of Education students on a visit to the Escola Concordia para Ensino Especial (Concordia School for Special Education) as one of the outreach learning activities of Modules “Chi-Language and Communication in Infant Education” and “Chi-Didactics of Language in Primary Education”.
The purpose of the activity was to help students to connect theories with practices, and expand students’ learning experiences by allowing them to go out of the classroom to gain and understand more practical teaching experiences through visits and exchanges. During the visit, students were able to observe teaching and learning activities of the Kindergarten and Primary classrooms in the Concordia School for Special Education and had in-depth exchanges and meetings with the Principal, Directors and teachers after the lesson observation. Both students and professors reported they gained a lot of new knowledge from this field trip.
