US Macao has established a formal academic partnership with the Bratislava University of Economics and Management (BUEM) through the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) and an Erasmus+ agreement.
The University of Saint Joseph’s Domingos Lam Centre for Research in Education (DLCRE) co-hosted two parent seminars with Escola Santa Maria Mazzarello under the “Chinese Literacy Education and Research (CLEAR) Project”.
Through the “Career Training Series: Flower Box Workshop & Career Sharing”, the School of Education hopes to support students’ professional growth and foster appreciation for the dedication, passion, and positive impact of all teachers.
Prof. Franz Gassner presented a paper on Cardinal Thomas Tien Ken-sin 田耕莘 SVD at “The International Symposium on the Centennial of the Consecration of the first Six Chinese Bishops in Rome (1926) — The Indigenization of the Chinese Catholic Church and the Rise of Chinese Cardinals”.
The two institutions engaged in in-depth discussions on various topics related to academic cooperation.
For over a decade, USJ’s bamboo pavilion has been a hallmark of its architectural curriculum, offering students hands-on experience in designing and constructing intricate structures using advanced parametric design and traditional craftsmanship.
Both parties held discussions engaging in in-depth exchanges on faculty and student exchanges, research collaboration, and distinctive institutional development.
USJ Macao signed MoUs with the following partners: Assumption College, Inc., Makati City, Philippines, De La Salle University, Philippines, Saint Francis University, Hong Kong SAR, China, San Beda College Alabang, Philippines and Sanata Dharma University, Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
Dr. Ivan Arraut delivered two seminar in Colombia’s Universidad del Norte and UniAndinos during the summer break.
Man Nok “Aegon” Chang from the Bachelor of Environmental Sciences and Christine Joy “CJ” Peralta from the Bachelor of Psychology became them the first batch of Student Ambassadors for Service Learning of USJ Macao.
