Visit of the Consul-General of Portugal in Macau and Hong Kong

The Consul-General of Portugal in Macao and Hong Kong, Ambassador Alexandre Leitão, paid a courtesy visit to the USJ on March 29, 2023.
Through the invitation of the University of Saint Joseph Macao (USJ), the Consul-General of Portugal in Macao and Hong Kong, Ambassador Alexandre Leitão, paid a visit to the USJ on March 29, 2023. This visit aimed at strengthening the bonds of friendship and also served to visit USJ’s facilities.
USJ Rector, Rev. Prof. Stephen Morgan, and other USJ members welcomed the Consul-General. The Rector highlighted the existing relationship between USJ and the Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP) and presented the academic collaboration with Portuguese Higher Education institutions and other Portuguese entities related to Scientific Research.
The Consul-General, Ambassador Alexandre Leitão, expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome and left a message of support for USJ in strengthening academic cooperation with Portuguese institutions and to continue to cooperate in the various areas of innovation, science and entrepreneurship with institutions in Mainland China and Portuguese-speaking countries.
Lastly, the Consul-General also received a guided tour of the Ilha Verde Campus. The visit ended at the University’s residential hall, where the Consul-General took pictures of the adjacent view of the USJ campus.
The visit was attended by the Rector Rev. Prof. Stephen Morgan, Vice-rector for Research Prof. Keith Morrison, Doctoral Programme Coordinator Prof. Adérito Fernandes-Marcos, Director of the Institute of Sciences and Environment (ISE) Prof. David Gonçalves, Director of the Department of Architecture and Design of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities Prof. Nuno Soares and the Coordinator of International Affairs Mrs. Ana Paula Mota.

Visita Cônsul-Geral de Portugal em Macau e Hong Kong
A convite da Universidade de São José Macau (USJ), o Senhor Cônsul-Geral de Portugal em Macau e Hong Kong, o Embaixador Alexandre Leitão, fez uma visita à USJ no passado dia 29 de Março de 2023. Esta visita teve como objectivo reforçar os laços de amizade e serviu também para conhecer as instalações da USJ.
O Senhor Cônsul-Geral foi recebido pelo Reitor da USJ, Rev. Prof. Stephen Morgan e outros membros da USJ. Durante a visita, o Reitor da USJ salientou o grau de relacionamento existente entre a USJ e a Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP), e aproveitou a ocasião para dar a conhecer, em síntese, a colaboração académica que a USJ tem desenvolvido junto às instituições Portuguesas de Ensino Superior, bem como outras entidades Portuguesas ligadas à Investigação Científica.
O Senhor Cônsul-Geral, Embaixador Alexandre Leitão, agradeceu o caloroso acolhimento da USJ, e deixou uma mensagem de apoio à USJ no reforço da cooperação académica com as instituições Portuguesas e de continuação da cooperação nas várias áreas da Ciência da Inovação e do empreendedorismo com instituições da China e dos Países Lusófonos.
A visita contou com a presença do Reitor Rev. Prof. Stephen Morgan, do Vice-Reitor para a Investigação, Prof. Keith Morrison, do Coordenador do Programa de Doutoramento, Prof. Adérito Fernandes-Marcos, do Director do Instituto de Ciências do Ambiente, Prof. David Gonçalves, do Director do Departamento de Arquitectura e Design da Faculdade de Artes e Humanidades, Arq. Nuno Soares e da Coordenadora dos Assuntos Internacionais, Sra. Ana Paula Mota.
Por fim, o Senhor Cônsul-Geral teve a oportunidade de conhecer as instalações da USJ na Ilha Verde, tendo a visita terminado na residência universitária da USJ, onde o Cônsul-Geral tirou algumas fotos da vista adjacente ao campus da USJ.
