The presentation aimed to introduce USJ’s academic programmes with a particular focus on the Communication & Media courses, state-of-art facilities, and available scholarship opportunities.
On Tuesday, May 14, 2024, the Vice-Rector for Internationalization and Academic Affairs of University of Saint Joseph (USJ) Macao, Professor Álvaro Barbosa, visited San Sebastian College – Recoletos (SSC-R) in Manila, Philippines, and delivered a presentation. The presentation aimed to introduce USJ’s academic programmes, facilities, and available scholarship opportunities.
During the presentation, Professor Álvaro Barbosa provided an overview of USJ Macao, with a particular focus on the Communication & Media programmes. He highlighted the curriculum, experienced international academic staff, state-of-the-art equipment and facilities, and the global employment opportunities available to graduates.
The event was attended by Bachelor of Art in Communications students and programme chairs from SSC-R Manila. This visit follows the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between USJ Macao and SSC-R during the 36th AUAP conference. The MOU encapsulates collaborative research, joint projects, cultural and academic exchanges of staff and students, joint supervision of theses, and participation in seminars, workshops, conferences, and academic meetings. Notably, the potential for the establishment of double degree programmes is being explored.
