USJ Staff and Students Participated in the “Chinese People’s Liberation Army Macao Garrison Taipa Barracks Open Day”

USJ staff and students joined the “Chinese People’s Liberation Army Macao Garrison Taipa Barracks Open Day”. The event aimed to deepen the participants’ understanding of national security, patriotism and love for Macao.
The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) delegation participated in the “Chinese People’s Liberation Army Macao Garrison Taipa Barracks Open Day” on the 2 May 2025. The open day included a military training demonstration, equipment display, training experience, and a visit to the military exhibition hall. In addition to observing the professionalism and dedication of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Macao Garrison, USJ is aimed to deepen the participants’ understanding of national security and cultivate the university student’s patriotism and knowledge through this visit.
A national flag-raising ceremony is held at 9:30 in the morning. After the formal ceremony, the participants enjoyed the demonstration of military exercises, such as combat and anti-terrorist drills, and cultural performances. The participants were inspired by the good military quality and wonderful fighting style of the Chinese soldiers.
