A delegation of the Faculty of Health Sciences and Macau Observatory for Social Development, visited Guangdong University of Foreign Studies on 19 January.



A delegation of the Faculty of Health Sciences and Macau Observatory for Social Development of the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) Macao, visited Guangdong University of Foreign Studies on 19 January, and was warmly received by Tu Bin, Dean of the School of Social and Public Administration, Shao Bing, Secretary of the Party Committee, Zhang Xinyong and Chen Sheng, Deputy Dean, and others.

The two parties held a roundtable meeting on the topic “Social Work in Greater Bay Area Experience Sharing”. During the discussion, they discussed strengthening regional social work research, sharing their experience in the development of the social work profession, and establishing an alliance to jointly develop discipline construction, scientific research, and talent training. Cooperate in other aspects, and discuss future expansion opportunities between the two faculties in the fields of social work teacher training, teaching and research cooperation, and teacher-student exchanges.

The meeting participants from USJ included Dr. Jacky Ho, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Dr. Francisco Botelho, Head of the Department of Social Work, Dr. Helen Liu, Research Coordinator for the Faculty of Health Sciences, Ms. Leona Ng, Programme Coordinator for the Bachelor of Social Work, and  Mr. Erik Kok, Officer of Macau Observatory for Social Development.
