USJ Delegation visits Guangzhou Institute of Science and Technology

A promotional talk of the USJ postgraduate programme and seminar talk titled “Case Study of Macau: Implementation of 30.60 Dual Carbon Goals, ESG Management, and the UN SDGs” was presented to a group of over 20 Bachelor students at GZIST.
On April 15 2026, a delegation from the University of Saint Joseph (USJ), led by Ben Lei, Head of the Domestic Student Recruitment Office (DSRO), and Prof. Thomas Lei, Chair of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Science and Environment (ISE), visited Guangzhou Institute of Science and Technology (GZIST) for meetings and discussions on further collaborations.
The USJ delegation was warmly welcomed by Prof. Guo Hang, Director of the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation, and Ms. Mo Huixia from the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation at GZIST.
A promotional talk of the USJ postgraduate programme was presented by Head of DSRO Ben Lei to a group of over 20 Bachelor students at GZIST, who also expressed interest in applying to the USJ postgraduate programme.
In addition, Prof. Thomas Lei presented a seminar talk titled “Case Study of Macau: Implementation of 30.60 Dual Carbon Goals, ESG Management, and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals”.



GZIST is a university approved by the Ministry of Education (MOE), founded in 2000, and became an independent college offering undergraduate education in 2006. The university is located in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the core area of the Pearl River Delta. It has three campuses, including the Guangzhou Campus, the Huizhou Campus, and the Experimental School of GZIST in the Zengcheng District, Guangzhou. In addition, GZIST has 15 schools, 10 industrial colleges, 48 undergraduate programmes, 1500 faculty members, and over 30,000 full-time students enrolled.
