The British Virgin Islands Government Office in Hong Kong visited USJ to further academic opportunities

A delegation from the British Virgin Islands (BVI) Representative Government Office in Hong Kong paid a courtesy visit to USJ on March 16.



On March 16th 2023, a delegation from the British Virgin Islands (BVI) Representative Government Office in Hong Kong led by the Director/Asia-Pacific Affairs Officer, Dr. Ricardo Wheatley, paid a courtesy visit to the University of Saint Joseph Macao (USJ).

The Vice-rector for Research, Professor Keith Morrison, warmly welcomed the delegation and introduced them to Dr. Teresa Loong, Director of the Office for Students and Alumni Affairs,  Mrs. Isadora Leung, Head of Communication and Public Relations, and Mrs. Ana Paula Mota, the Manager of International Affairs.

During the meeting, the Vice-rector and the Director/Asia-Pacific Affairs Officer discussed opportunities to strengthen the academic cooperation between the parties, based on the existing Memorandum of Understanding on International Cooperation between the University of Saint Joseph Macao and the British Virgin Islands Hong Kong Office, Government of the Virgin Islands, signed in August 2021.

The meeting was followed by a campus tour which included the Department of Architecture and Design and were introduced to the latest types of equipment and technologies used in the Digital Fabrication Lab, the Design and Fashion Design Studio, the Department of Media, Art and Technology, the Adelson Communication Studio and the Laboratory of Applied Neurosciences, ending the tour with a visit to the USJ Residential Hall. The delegation appreciated strongly the overall facilities, environment and interpersonal atmosphere of the USJ Ilha Verde Campus and its members.
