Prof. Vitor Teixeira gave a talk in Macao Science Center about Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) on 26 November 2019
On 26 November 2019, Prof. Vitor Teixeira, the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences participated in the Public Lecture titled “How do you look at me? Different looks at people with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD)” in the Macao Science Center. In a room with a vast audience with families, staff and students, he gave a talk titled “The way I look at People with ASD 我怎樣看自閉症譜系障礙患者(ASD)” sharing real-life experiences with people with ASD. Prof. Teixeira also talked about some of those people he met sharing his own perspective on how to look straight at them and gave a concrete example of a psychosocial intervention named Social Life Support Groups. Much more remained unsaid, but more opportunities will exist.
