Professor George Du, Dean of the Institute for Data Engineering and Science at USJ, gave an academic lecture on the “Challenges and Solutions of Key Technologies of Smart healthcare System based on Internet of Things” at the School of Computer Science of Guangdong Polytechnic Normal University.
At the invitation of the School of Computer Science of Guangdong Polytechnic Normal University, Professor George Du, Dean of the Institute for Data Engineering and Science and Director of the Smart Elderly Healthcare Lab at the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) Macao, gave an academic lecture on the “Challenges and Solutions of Key Technologies of Smart healthcare System based on Internet of Things” to an audience of over 30 academic staff members and graduate students from the School of Computer Science on the 2nd of December, 2024.
Professor Du elaborated on the many challenges involved in the process from development to deployment of the smart health system based on the Internet of things, including data collection, best feature selection, library and framework selection, training model evaluation, best model selection, and ML model decision dependency, and gave possible solutions. The report aroused a strong response from the teachers and students.
