USJ and Sun Yat-sen University Signed MoU for Cooperation and Exchange in the Field of Philosophy

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Cooperation and Exchange in the Field of Philosophy between Sun Yat-sen University and University of Saint Joseph was signed on 10 April, 2026.
Vice-Rector Professor Álvaro Barbosa and Dr. João Leong Brochado delivered Keynotes in the International Media Conference on “Media, Culture and Identity: Exploring Global Narratives and Intersections” in Bengaluru, India, organised by Kristu Jayanti University in collaboration with USJ Macao.
USJ Macao took part in the International Education & Career Korea Fair, held in Seoul from 28 to 29 March, marking its presence in the South Korean market and promoting Macao as a destination for higher education.
IDEAS Prof. Ivan Arraut Delivers Public Lecture on Black Holes and Quantum Computing in Shenzhen

Prof. Ivan Arraut from the Institute of Data Engineering and Science (IDEAS) presented an open lecture on “Physics of Black Holes, Quantum information and Quantum computers” in Shenzhen, China.
The “Legacy Program Youth Delegation”, jointly organised by Legado and the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) Macao, was officially launched on 7 April 2026.
To encourage students in their exam preparations and help relieve their study stress, USJ held the Support Station under the theme “Sakura Cafe” at the end of March to spread positive energy.
The Office for Student and Alumni Affairs at USJ hosted a series of mental health week activities throughout March.
USJ Macao took part in QUALIFICA, one of Portugal’s leading fairs for education, vocational training, youth engagement, and employability.
The Alumni Association of University of Saint Joseph (AAUSJ) and the University of Saint Joseph Alumni Sports Association (USJASA) held their annual general assembly meeting on 12 March 2026, completing the triennial leadership election.
The session featured guest speaker Sílvia Siqueira, Associate Professor at the State University of Ceará (Brazil), who visited Macao at the invitation USJ.
The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) welcomed a visit from the CRAO delegation from the Asia and Oceania Region and the China Circle on 26 March.
