“GLOSOPHIA Network – Sul Global Humanities” aims to establish a permanent platform for multidisciplinary academic cooperation between postgraduate researchers from Brazil and Greater China.

The School of Humanities and the Postgraduate Programme in Philosophy at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUC-RS) in Brazil, together with the Doctoral School and Faculty of Religious Studies and Philosophy at the University of Saint Joseph (USJ), in Macao, China, will jointly host the launch of the GLOSOPHIA Network – Global South Humanities (Rede GLOSOPHIA – Sul Global Humanidades) on 23 April at 8:00 PM (Macau time) and 9:00 AM (Brasília time).
This international research network between Brazil and China aims to foster dialogue on the Global South within the area of humanities. The network’s first international forum, GLOSOPHIA 2026, is dedicated to the study of language, artistic creation, and the intersections between philosophy, technology, and communication. The Forum will be held online on 27th and 28th October 2026.
This project marks a significant step in strengthening the international GLOSOPHIA network, which has grown through strategic partnerships and a programme that combines research, creation, and critical reflection. The joint participation of PUC-RS and USJ highlights the transcontinental nature of the Brazil-China project and anticipates even greater involvement from the academic community.

Lançamento da Rede GLOSOPHIA – Sul Global Humanidades reúne PUC-RS (Brazil) e Universidade de São José (Macau, China)
A Escola de Humanidades e o Programa de Pós-Graduação em Filosofia da Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul (PUC-RS), Brasil, e a Escola Doutoral e a Faculdade de Estudos Religiosos e Filosofia da Universidade de São José (USJ), em Macau, China, realizam, no próximo dia 23 de Abril, às 8:00 PM (hora de Macau) e às 9:00 AM (horário de Brasília), o lançamento conjunto da rede GLOSOPHIA – Sul Global Humanidades, rede de pesquisa internacional Brasil – China, visando os diálogos do sul global nas humanidades. Esta rede terá seu primeiro fórum internacional, GLOSOPHIA 2026, dedicado ao estudo da linguagem, da criação artística e das interseções entre filosofia, tecnologia e comunicação, a realizar-se online nos dias 27 e 28 de outubro de 2026.
Este projeto representa um avanço importante na fortificação da rede internacional GLOSOPHIA, que vem crescendo graças a parcerias estratégicas e a uma programação que combina investigação, criação e reflexão crítica. A participação conjunta da PUC-RS e da USJ destaca a essência transcontinental Brasil-China do projeto e antecipa um envolvimento ainda maior da comunidade acadêmica.
