A delegation from the Consulate General of the Philippines in Macao SAR visited the University of Saint Joseph Macao and discussed opportunities to implement the fellowship for students from Blue-Card Households in the Macao SAR.

On 29th February, a delegation from the Consulate General of the Philippines in Macao SAR, led by Consul General Porfirio M. Mayo Jr., and accompanied by Vice Consul Ms Regina Angeli P. Ambrocio together with the new Cultural Officer Ms Emily Kristine C. Villanueva-Descallar, visited the University of Saint Joseph (USJ Macao). The delegation was warmly welcomed by the Vice-rector for Students Affairs, Dr Teresa Loong and the Manager of the International Affairs Office, Mrs Ana Paula Mota.

The primary objective is to identify opportunities to implement the fellowship for students from Blue-Card Households in Macao SAR. Likewise, the discussion engaged in potential academic collaboration with Tertiary Education Institutions, fostering a rich exchange of knowledge and expertise between USJ Macao faculties and Tertiary Education institutions in the Philippines.

Another discussed point will be establishing networking for Philippine Tertiary Education Institutions and exploring student and faculty exchange programmes and short courses, including summer courses, to be offered at Philippine Tertiary Education institutions and USJ Macao. These programmes will allow students and faculty members to participate in immersive learning experiences, gain regional exposure, and broaden their horizons about China, Macao, the Greater Bay Area, and the Philippines.
