The School of Education at USJ recently invited Dr. Alvis Ka I Sio, a local youth academic and an Assistant Lecturer at the HKU Space Community College in Hong Kong, for an exchange visit.
To align with the Macao SAR government’s policy of encouraging young talents to return to Macao, the School of Education (SED) at the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) recently invited Dr. Alvis Ka I Sio, a local youth academic and an Assistant Lecturer at the HKU Space Community College in Hong Kong, for an exchange visit.
Prof. Isabel Tchiang, Acting Dean of the SED and Director of the Teachers’ Professional Development Centre (TPDC), and Prof. Miranda Mak, Assistant Professor of the School of Education and Coordinator of the Domingos Lam Centre for Research in Education (DLCRE), warmly welcomed Dr. Sio.
Both parties engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as the cultivation of media literacy among educators, parents, and adolescents, as well as the ethical norms and practical challenges of artificial intelligence across various learning stages from K-12. They also explored the feasibility of collaborating on specialized seminars and teacher training programs.
