Visit from the College of Education for the Future of Beijing Normal University

A delegation of the Beijing Normal University comprised of Dr. Jean-Young NYAN, directors of the Research & Teaching Center, and Dr. HUANG Jian of the School of Future Education, and Dr. HAN Xiao of the School of Art and Communication, and a group of students, visited the USJ Ilha Verde Campus on April 20.



On 20th of April, 2025, a delegation of the Beijing Normal University comprised of Dr. Jean-Young NYAN, directors of the Research & Teaching Center, and Dr. HUANG Jian of the School of Future Education, and Dr. HAN Xiao of the School of Art and Communication, and a group of students, visited the University of Saint Joseph (USJ), launched the Ilha Verde campus for a visit and an exchange activity.

The delegation visited the residential hall and the academic building level 6, where they were welcomed by the USJ Faculty of Arts and Humanities. Dr. NYAN spoke highly of the modern facilities and teaching resources on the campus of USJ.

Subsequently, all members of the Beijing NU group had in-depth exchanges with the School of Education. Professor Iris MAK briefly introduced the long history of USJ and the situation of the School of Education, and also introduced the advantages of the School in inclusive education. In addition, Professor Isabel TCHIANG also introduced the Teachers’ Professional Development Centre.

Representatives from the College of Education for the Future Beijing Normal University introduced the teaching characteristics and student situation of the faculty, and professors from the two parties conducted in-depth discussions on future cooperative courses between the two universities.

Finally, representatives from College of Education for the Future of Beijing Normal University expressed their desire to establish cooperation with USJ, and both parties made suggestions on possible ways of cooperation. This visit promoted academic exchanges and laid the foundation for the realization of future cooperation projects between the two universities.
