Vice-rector Prof. Álvaro Barbosa was featured as a Keynote Speaker in the “International Days 2023” organised by Hochschule Mainz University of Applied Sciences in Germany from 9 to 12 of May 2023.
Vice-Rector for Internationalisation and Academic Affairs of the University of Saint Joseph Macao (USJ) Professor Álvaro Barbosa was featured as a Keynote Speaker in the “International Days 2023” organised by Hochschule Mainz University of Applied Sciences in Germany from 9 to 12 of May 2023.
The theme of the 4-day conference was “New horizons, new perspectives!” covering various internationalisation topics within the higher education scope such as Mobility attracting an audience of about 80 faculty delegates and representatives of several international Universities in Europe and Asia.
Vice-Rector Barbosa delivered a presentation about USJ and the collaborative research projects between USJ’s Faculty of Arts and Humanities and the host University titled “The Quality of Soundscapes: Collaborative Research between Macau and Mainz”. In the presentation VR Barbosa also presented insights and lessons learned during the USJ’s internationalisation journey and the challenges of the post-pandemic academic collaboration.
Hochschule Mainz University of Applied Sciences is a partner university of USJ Macao. Both institutions have signed an agreement of cooperation in 2020 for student and faculty exchange and research.
