The 2025/2026 academic year “Active Campus” Sports Competition, organized by DSEDJ, successfully concluded on 26 April 2026. The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) women’s basketball team won the tertiary division championship.
The 3×3 basketball tournament of the 2025/2026 academic year “Active Campus” Sports Competition, organised by the Education and Youth Development Bureau (DSEDJ), successfully concluded on 26 April 2026. The USJ women’s basketball team competed with composure, demonstrating teamwork and tenacious fighting spirit, and successfully won the tertiary division championship, bringing honor to the university.
The tournament brought together many strong basketball teams from local tertiary institutions, making the competition fierce. The USJ women’s basketball team displayed solid offensive and defensive capabilities, with smooth passing and agile movement among the players, ultimately securing the championship trophy with outstanding performance. In the men’s division, the university fielded two teams. Although they did not win the title, both teams’ players stated after the tournament that they gained valuable experience and will step up their training to achieve better results in the next edition.
USJ will continue to encourage students to participate in various sports competitions and promote a sports culture on campus. The championship of the women’s team not only showcases the basketball team’s strength, but it also highlights the spirit of unity and mutual support across the university.
