The MOU will consolidate strategic alliances between the two universities, including activities already being developed between the universities, such as joint research, supervision of dissertations and theses, exchange of information in the form of publications and journals, other teaching and research results and also establishes the mobility of technical and administrative staff, visits and joint organization of events.
Last but not least, USJ launched a research project with UFC and Brazil’s Instituto da Primeira Infância, based in Fortaleza, aimed at lending a helping hand to needy families “subject to chronic stress” under the USJ’s new laboratory of applied neurosciences. Furthermore, USJ has also launched a joint project with the UFC and the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Porto, to use artificial intelligence to interpret and classify people’s reactions automatically.
