USJ OSAA delegation visits the 30th "Career Mosaic" and Entrepreneurship Center of the HKUST

A delegation of the Office for Student and Alumni Affairs visited the 30th Career Mosaic and Entrepreneurship Center of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

A visit to the 30th Career Mosaic and Entrepreneurship Center (EC) of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) was set-up in the afternoon on the 16th of March 2023, to facilitate and promote the professional development and networking of the administrative staff members of the University of Saint Joseph (USJ),

Six representatives, led by the Director of the Office of Student and Alumni Affairs (OSAA), Dr. Teresa Loong, first visited the HKUST campus-wide bi-annual weeklong face-to-face job fair. After the visit, the delegation was warmly received by the Director of the EC of HKUST, Professor Carrie Ling, and the Manager of the Centre, Dr. Terry Lo.

Prof. Ling and Dr. Lo explained to the USJ delegates their diversified programs and events for their members’ innovation and entrepreneurship development. Prof. Ling also selflessly shared her in-class experiences on design thinking, especially for the medically needy. Both USJ and HKUST sincerely exchanged their ideas throughout the visit.

To finish the visit, the USJ team was hospitably welcomed by the Head of the Career Centre of HKUST, Mrs. Ruby Lam, who illustrated the history and organisation of their 30th Career Mosaic, the first after the COVID pandemic. The USJ delegation was positively inspired by the EC and Career Centre of HKUST and is expecting further exchange in the future.
