The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) Macao mourns the death of the Holy Father, Pope Francis, pontificate of peace, for peace.

The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) Macao mourns the death of the Holy Father, Pope Francis, pontificate of peace, for peace. We commend him to the mercy of God the Father in the confident Easter hope of the Resurrection.

If you pray, remember him in your prayers. If you don’t, then spare a kind thought for him.
 
“O God, who, in your inevitable Providence, did will that your servant Francis should be numbered among the high priests, grant, we beseech You, that he, who on earth held the place of Your only begotten Son, may be joined forevermore to the fellowship of Your holy pontiffs. Through the same Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with You in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, world without end. Amen.”
 

The Diocese of Macao will hold a Memorial Mass for the late Pope Francis on Tuesday, 29 April 2025, at 7:00 PM in the Sé Cathedral. Additionally, public remembrances will be held from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM on the same day.

To allow staff and students to participate in these services, all USJ campuses will be closed on 29 April 2025, with all classes and activities suspended for the day as a final tribute to Pope Francis.
