USJ joined the celebration Mass of Pope Francisco at the Nagasaki Baseball Stadium



On Sunday, 24 November, a professor and a student of USJ, joint international and Japanese groups for a celebration Mass of Pope Francisco at the Nagasaki Baseball Stadium. This is very near the place where the atomic bomb exploded on 9 August 1945. The Pope’s message was directed on the suffering caused by this bomb as well as the immorality of their possession.
Nagasaki had in the 16th century a strong link with Macao trade and missionary work that lasts until the first three decades of the 17th century. The St. Paul College was built in Macao for accommodation and the formation of Japanese candidates to the priesthood.
