The Chinese Literacy Education and Research (CLEAR) project conducted three parental talks for Macau Baptist College during the 2025-26 academic year.

The Chinese Literacy Education and Research (CLEAR) project, housed in the Domingos Lam Centre for Research in Education (DLCRE) under the School of Education at the University of Saint Joseph, conducted three parental talks for Macau Baptist College during the 2025-26 academic year. This initiative aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) by enhancing early childhood education through home-school collaboration.

Delivered by Prof. Miranda Mak and Ms. Tammy Chu, the workshops addressed oral language development, interactive reading strategies, and Chinese language bridging for primary school transition. With over 100 participants, the series empowered parents with practical skills and promoted the application of CLEAR pedagogical materials, fostering synergy between family, school, and educational resources.

DLCRE aims to continue these outreach efforts to strengthen the “Family-School-Research ” nexus, advancing the SDG 4 vision while establishing a parent network for future research projects.
