Administrator Dr. Alejandro Salcedo attended the launching ceremony of the “Recruitment Plan of Volunteers and Partners from the Macao Division for the 15th National Games of the People’s Republic of China” on February 10, 2023.
The Organisational Commission of Macao of the 15th National Games held the launching ceremony of the “Recruitment Planof Volunteers and Partners from the Macao Division for the 15th National Games of the People’s Republic of China” at the Macao Science Center’s Convention Hall on the 10th of February, 2023.
Administrator Dr. Alejandro Salcedo Garcia attended the ceremony on behalf of the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) as one of the first partners representing Macao.
The 15th National Games will be jointly hosted in 2025 by Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao regions. To prepare and welcome the Games, the organisational commission of Macao has started recruiting volunteers from the day of the launch, aimed at people born on or before 2007. It is estimated that 10,000 locals will be recruited for the Games. The recruitment includes the verification of information, training, and practice.
The General Volunteers’ work includes venue guidance, concierge reception, medical assistance, and venue logistics, while the Competition Auxiliary Volunteers’ work includes referee assistance, inspection, timing and scoring system assistance, award ceremony, reception services, and others.
