About the Research:
During the Covid-19 pandemic, the Macao government imposed a wide range of strict measures in the community to prevent the spread and contain the virus such as restriction on dining out, leading to a new food ordering culture. Businesses were also suffering financially and workers were getting pay cuts and/or loosing their jobs, therefore some people opt to follow the latest trend and became food delivery drivers the to earn a “quick buck”. However, as this industry keeps growing, more attention should be paid to the working conditions and protection of the workers.
