Prof. Ivan Arraut presents on Gauge Symmetries at Fudan University, engaging in discussions on Quantum Finance and potential collaborations.

On January 10th, Prof. Ivan Arraut from the Faculty of Business and Law (FBL) at the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) presented a seminar at the Department of Physics at Fudan University in Shanghai. Prof. Arraut, who teaches Mathematics for FBL and Physics for the Institute of Science and Environment (ISE) at USJ, addressed the theme of “Gauge Symmetries Applied to Various Scenarios.” The presentation is now available for public viewing on YouTube.

During the seminar, Prof. Arraut engaged in meaningful discussions with the research group of Professor Antonino Marciano, a distinguished full professor at Fudan. These conversations extended beyond the seminar’s focus, encompassing topics such as Quantum Finance, Quantum Gravity, and Cosmology. His presentation was met with enthusiasm and generated significant interest among the participants. As a result, Prof. Arraut has received an invitation to conduct another seminar at Fudan University later this year (2025).

Additionally, Prof. Arraut had the opportunity to engage in an insightful discussion over coffee with Associate Professor Mauricio Romo, a mathematician at Fudan with post-doctoral experience at the Institute for Advanced Study at Princeton, as well as at the University of Tokyo. Their conversation opened avenues for potential future collaborations.
