Faculty of Health Sciences Participate in the "Saint Louis College Health Care & Academic Conference 2025" in Bangkok

Under the theme “The Power of Education and Healthcare in the Ever-Changing World”, the conference gathered experts and scholars from nursing, health sciences, and other fields to discuss the importance of education and health care in the context of global changes.



Faculty Members and students from the Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) at the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) Macao participated in the “Saint Louis College Health Care & Academic Conference 2025” held from 4 to 5 September, 2025, in Bangkok, Thailand. This academic and healthcare conference entitled “The Power of Education and Healthcare in the Ever-Changing World” gathered experts and scholars from nursing, health sciences, and other fields to discuss the importance of education and health care in the context of global changes.

The Dean of FHS, Prof. Jacky Ho, served as the keynote speaker for this conference, presenting on the topic “How Al is Revolutionizing Education and Healthcare?” He explored the applications and future potential of AI technology in the fields of education and health care, along with the importance of promoting Artificial Integrity.

Additionally, FHS students actively participated in the conference, sharing their research findings. Master’s student in Social Work, Ho Sut Ieng (Shadow) presented her studies titled “Good Death and Quality of Life of Elderly in Macau”, examining the relationship between good death and quality of life of elderly, as well as the challenges and improvement strategies regarding promoting the quality of life for the elderly. Ieong Si Ut (Ivy) PhD student in Psychology shared her research on “The Relationship Between Sleep and Mental Health in Adolescents and Its Moderating Factors: A Systematic Review”, analyzing the impact of sleep on adolescents’ mental health and the direction of her research.

This conference provided a platform for knowledge exchange and experience sharing among attendees, showcasing our faculty’s academic contributions in health sciences and related fields, and engaging in interdisciplinary exchange activities at the international level in the future. The faculty appreciate the organizing committee for their support and efforts in making this conference a success.
