The USJ Doctoral School hosted Dr. Syed Babar Ali for a research visit aimed at fostering international academic exchange and institutional collaboration.



The Doctoral School of the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) hosted Dr. Syed Babar Ali, an ESI Postdoctoral Fellow from Hamdard University, from 12 to 17 January, for a productive research visit aimed at fostering international academic exchange and institutional collaboration.

During his visit, Dr. Ali delivered an insightful and well-attended public lecture titled “From Adoption to Value Creation: A Comprehensive Framework for Evaluating Educational Technology Platforms in Emerging Markets“. His presentation addressed critical frameworks for assessing how educational technology can move beyond mere implementation to generate tangible, long-term value in developing educational ecosystems. The lecture sparked engaging discussions among USJ researchers, doctoral students, and faculty members regarding the future of EdTech evaluation.

Beyond his academic presentation, Dr. Ali met with the leadership of the USJ Doctoral School to discuss potential collaboration routes between Hamdard University and the University of Saint Joseph. These discussions explored future joint research initiatives and faculty exchanges, designed to enrich the research capabilities of both institutions.

The visit concluded with an official group photograph featuring Dr. Syed Babar Ali alongside the Dean of the Doctoral School, Professor Adérito Fernandes Marcos and António Maneira, marking a successful milestone in strengthening bilateral academic ties.
