The University of Saint Joseph is one of the participants in the Anno Caprum 2015 – Macau CNY Street Art Fest. The USJ project is innovative, employs the state-of-art technology, equipment, and materials; gathers USJ/Faculty of Creative Industries students and professors; and joins members of different faculty departments: Design, Communication & Media and Architecture. Furthermore, it aims to combine design and technology as an advanced form of active communication.
The project key concept is based on the Lean Forward “Goatway” (QR Goat). Indeed, the “goatway” represents a metaphorical conception combines synchronically design & technology. Initially it draws the observer’s attention with the purpose of establishing a visual relationship. Afterwards, the appealing material dimension of the design is individually retrieved as an instrument of involvement to explore the endless virtual and global discovery. Therefore, the goat design transforms relationship through technology, into an electronic wider window that instantly connects the observer to an Asian world, in which only reveries rule. All in all, the QR goat is well established as a leading path to a QR code “goatway”, and likewise a groundbreaking means of transportation that suggests an exclusive lean forward moment.
Currently, the preparation phase is taking place in the Venetian facilities and it is due to finish next February 5, 2015.
Goatway ”
