The General Council is the body that defines the broad guidelines of The Catholic Foundation for Higher Education. It is composed of three types of members:

  • Permanent members, including the Bishop of the Diocese of Macao and the Rector of the Catholic University of Portugal;
  • Appointed members, including two appointed by the Diocese of Macao and two appointed by the Catholic University of Portugal; and
  • Co-opted members, which are three members co-opted by the other members of the Council.
