Joint Degree Programmes
Students of the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) Macao have the opportunity to participate in internationally accredited Joint Degree Programmes.
These programmes have been developed in collaboration with USJ’s partner universities, offering students the opportunity to expand their knowledge, broaden their perspectives, and deepen their field of study across different institutions and countries.

All joint degree programmes at USJ are in accordance with the Macao Higher Education Law Administrative Regulation No. 19/2018, which ensures the quality and recognition of these academic offerings.
What is a Joint Degree Programme?

A joint degree programme is a collaborative initiative between the USJ and one of our partner universities. Upon successful completion, students will be awarded a single degree certificate jointly conferred by both institutions.
Joint Degree Programmes

USJ Macao and Instituto Universitário de Ciências Psicológicas, Sociais e da Vida (ISPA-IU) in Portugal jointly offers the Master of Neuroscience and Behaviour programme.
The first year of studies takes place in Macao and in the second year students will take two advanced modules in Portugal and develop their dissertation either in Portugal or in Macao. Upon its successful conclusion, students will be awarded with a joint diploma issued by the two institutions.

USJ Macao and the Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP) in Portugal jointly offer the Bachelor of Christian Studies programme granted by USJ, the Integrated Master of Theology and the first canonical degree in Theology granted by UCP.
The programme provided by the Faculty of Religious Studies and Philosophy of USJ extends over four years for a Bachelor degree, preceded by a one-year (Foundation Year) initiation to Philosophy and the Western classical languages (Greek and Latin) to make up the five years of the first canonical degree in Theology.
